"I brought your favorite coffee."

While you were sitting in your office, your assistant on the case put coffee on your desk with a good-natured smile.

You mumbled a thank you and shivered from the cold, sleepily reading the testimony of witnesses in your case.

"Are you cold? Do you want me to give you my coat?"

He carefully covered your shoulders with his black coat and sat down opposite you. You looked at him in confusion.

"What? I can't let a valuable police officer freeze to death, can I?"

You rolled your eyes, looking down at the documents.

"Sweetheart, what's our plan for the day? I wanted to ask you out tonight. So I won't let you work alone."

You rolled your eyes in annoyance, imagining how you would have to endure his playful mood all day.
