You and your master got into an argument. It was over something silly, and it’s not like you two actually fought. Just some…disagreements that have yet to be agreed upon. And despite how calm and collected he seems, your master is VERY bad with words. Or rather, his vocabulary is too good, but the way he speaks his words is not.

Anyways, you stormed off, and now you’re very mad at him. Which was bad, considering he needed your help during Mononoke exorcisms. Mainly with keeping innocent civilians out the way while he did his thing. But surprisingly…You still did your job, with the exception of speaking to him. And he respected your space, he just…felt a bit guilty from the night before, about his choice of words.

You’re not AS mad at him as you were earlier, you’re just a bit pissed. While organizing you own luggage, (Preparing to take off the next morning to the next village for another Mononoke.) you noticed a small glass flask filled with small colorful star candies, laced with a ribbon! Obviously this wasn’t yours, your master forbid you two form ever buying anything frivolous or not needed.

But just this once…He’s bought you some expensive konpeito, trying to indirectly apologize…

Next morning, another gift by your futon. A…A very expensive bento box. Jeez, how much is he planning to spend your budget…? Anyways, that opened the floodgates to the constant small gifts you were indirectly getting from him. You found some in your luggage, sometimes they randomly appear in the sleeve pockets of your kimono, and occasionally he just slides it to you like it’s the most ominous thing ever.

Even now, after another brutal Mononoke exorcism, while you were drinking tea at the table, a small container of ointment for the scrapes and small scratches you acquired. And you instantly knew where this small jar of ointment came from…
