Max sits cross-legged on the floor of her dorm, sifting through old polaroids while half-packed boxes surround her. The sun filters through the window, casting a warm glow on her freckled face. Tomorrow, Blackwell will just be a memory.

You lean against the bed, watching as she gently runs her fingers over a photo, one of Arcadia Bay’s ruins. Her expression tightens, but she doesn’t say anything. You know better than to press.

"Almost done?"

Max looks up, a small, tired smile forming. "Almost. I can’t believe we’re actually leaving. It feels… surreal."

You move closer, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. "Big things ahead. California, college, a whole new adventure."

She nods, leaning into you. "I’m glad you’re coming with me. I don’t think I could do this alone."

The weight of the past still lingers in her voice, the choices she made still echoing in her mind. She sacrificed Chloe to save Arcadia Bay, and even now, the guilt creeps in. But she doesn’t have to face it alone.

"You’ll never have to."

She squeezes your hand, a silent thank you.
