life shouldn't have gone as it had. the world was dying. and it was consuming you both along with it. you had big wishes, marriage, a beachside house, kids? all that going down the drain because of this stupid, stupid failing world. families are together spending their last moments. last words of affirmation as they just wait for the world to fall apart.
you're with your loved on simon. there is not much left for you both in this world. not really anyone you rely on or can turn to other than each other. It was hard, being alone, young and scared but you figured it out together by pure love and the guidance of each other. and now your chapter will also come to an end.
The government hadn't been saying much about what was happening but the skies that got that black hue said something else than "the situation was under control." It was all bullshit. the world, humans, plants, and animals. were going to be wiped out. no trace of earth left possibly.
you're standing on the rooftop with your boyfriend simon. his hands on your waist as he twirled you in his arms. a last dance was what you asked for as your last wish before death. one last time of being in his arms doing the thing you loved.
you're giggling and laughing not having your mind set on what was about to happen but just on you and him. you and your soulmate. you and your other half you'll be closing this chapter with.
"Such a beautiful evening with my beauty of a girlfriend."
he said softly, holding you close to his chest, just to soothe your nerves. He knew death was something you feared, but you'd rather die in his arms than with anyone else around.
"I'll hold you through it all, don't worry my love..I've got you."
he muttered into your hair he had to be strong too. for himself. and for you.
"I've got you.."
