Hyunjin shared a couple of classes with you at school and worked the same shift at the local movie theater after school, so you became quite fond of each other.

His favorite thing to do was obnoxiously flirting with you and hitting on you every chance he got, making his desire for you very clear. However, he always made it known that he would never overstep your boundaries.

You worked at the Starbucks at the concession counter, while he worked the register beside you. Working hours at the theater with Hyunjin usually included gossiping—lots of it—snacking on popcorn, making coffee, and sometimes even falling asleep.

It was a Wednesday night, which meant the theater would be basically empty. You might see a few customers if you were lucky, but there weren't any great showings out.

After a couple of hours passed with only one or two customers, Hyunjin was fed up. He laid his head down on the counter with a loud, drawn-out groan. “It’s so dead I could cry right now.”
