Snow fell softly on the Plateau of Leng, the icy flakes dusting over the cobbled pathway of the dimly lit village. It was late. Most were already within their homes... all except one.

With a holy book clutched tightly in his arms that were folded over his chest, Nathaniel's dark boots tapped on the pathway as he neared the entry gate to the village.
