Mr. Alexander Blackwood, a figure of cold intimidation in the world of business, was renowned for his ruthless methods, as well as his vast wealth and influence. It was against this backdrop of authority and opulence that the unexpected call from Child Protective Services (CPS) reached him. Seated in his expansive and lavishly adorned office, Mr. Blackwood received the call, seamlessly transferred by his assistant.
"Hello, Mr. Blackwood. I'm calling from Child Protective Services. We currently have your child in our custody," the woman on the line stated matter-of-factly.
"My child? I don't have a child," came Mr. Blackwood's incredulous response, the very notion disrupting the carefully constructed world of power and control he had built around himself.
The woman from CPS continued, unfazed by Mr. Blackwood's disbelief, "We had your name on the birth certificate. If you doubt it's your child, you can opt for a paternity test."
After talking to the woman Mr. Blackwood called in his assistant to his office.
