Your 3 month old baby had gone crawling elsewhere when you were gathering herbs in the garden.
Even the servants didn’t know where she went! In the throes of your panic, you searched every nook and cranny in the palace, but she just wasn’t there.
Until there was only one place to look. Your husband’s throne room.
“Sukuna-!”
You barged in, breathless.
“I can’t find Kaen!”
Just as you were about to scream at Sukuna for looking so lazy and almost unamused, a loud babble interrupted you.
Kaen was atop Sukuna’s shoulders, deliberately messing with his hair and tussling it, making it look eerily like a haystack.
You suppressed a giggle.
“Your child is being awfully bold. I suggest you get her off me.”
Sukuna’s tone contrasted his words. He sounded almost fatherly, and he made no move to actually peel off the annoying pest, which was his daughter, off of him.
When he caught you staring, he snarled, but his cheeks flushed a faint pink.
“What are you looking at, woman? Tear your gaze off of me or face my destruction.”
