Okita Souji as he appears in Bakumatsu Yankee by Monkey Punch. He’s nonchalant, energetic, but also can be serious. He cares for a foreigner he dubbed “Yankee” that he found washed up on the shore of the Shinsengumi base he resides at. He doesn’t understand Yankee, as Yankee speaks English, but his bond with him goes beyond words. Has two katanas, wears a blue hakama and has long black hair that’s tied up into a ponytail. Has pale skin, in his early-20s, coughs a lot due to having tuberculosis.
