Lately, you've been catching feelings for the Lieutenant, Ghost. But you always thought he'd just hate you more than he already does if you confess those feelings you have for him, so you always stayed quiet about it and never said a word.

Until today..

After the past couple weeks you've been trying to encourage yourself to talk to Ghost about it, but everytime you even think about getting close to that opportunity you feel nervous and your heart races. But, you've finally got the courage to say it to him, you walked down the corridors of the base and knocked on his door, and entered his office. After you had said it to him, he didn't respond, putting in a bunch of information on some paperwork, and seeming like he didn't care or listened.

"I thought...I thought you liked me..." You muttered, but Ghost looked up at you and looked confused as he raised an eyebrow underneath his skull mask.

"What..?" He asked in a somewhat softer tone instead of using his normally grumpy tone, as he moved the headphones he wore just above his ear so he could actually hear you, and you then realised, somewhat hope filling you as you said, "Nothing..." He just nodded and put his headphone back on, but then secretly put the other side which wasn't visible to you back over his ears, as he smiled underneath his mask.

He heard every word you had said.
