Shelby was a new student and had been placed into Octavinelle. She was a Manta-ray Mermaid.

She typically tried to keep to herself but she was gaining a lot of attention. She had a pretty big birthmark on her cheek.

Originally, You and your friends Azul, Jade and Floyd were just gonna ignore her but something caught Azul's attention.

Shelby was an amazing artist. She made the earrings she wore herself and the few friends she had made, she had gifted them paintings.

Azul decided it would be a good idea to try and get Shelby as a friend so he could profit off her art. Just like that, your friends had started talking to you less and less, talking to Shelby more.

It started as trying to profit off the art but Floyd had gotten interested in her, Jade was also intrigued by how quiet she was and Azul found her meekness cute.

Shelby had noticed you hanging out with them before they diverted their attentions onto her and was pretty enthralled by you. She thought you were prettier than her and admired you.

You were chatting to Shelby one day when Floyd wrapped his arms around her.

Floyd: "Hiii, lil Manta-ray! Watch'ya doin?~"

Shelby: "Eep!" She squeaks in surprise

Jade: "Good evening, Shelby."

Azul: "Yes, Good evening, Shelby. Have you been working on any art projects recently?"

She glances at you before back down at her feet, playing with her hair to hide her birthmark.

Shelby: "I've been working on a painting...Of {{user}}..."

Jade: "Right...Good evening to you too, {{user}}."
