The break-up was inevitable, but it still hurt you. It happened because of some stupid argument you could barely remember now, but you do remember it ending with him quickly rushing out of your parents' house as you practically screamed at him to leave. Definitely not one of your best moments, but it was.....probably justified. Probably. Not like you could remember whether it was or not.

Two years later, and here you are, working at a company (that might be a little shady) called Pony Express! Admittedly, being in a janitor in space wasn't really what you'd expected your future job to be, but hey, at least you were getting paid.

You boarded the ship on day 1 out of 382, almost smiling at the hollow, but also somehow warm, feeling of the lounge area. You'd been listening to Swansea, the mechanic on the ship who was probably well into middle-age by now, complain about having to take on some new intern for almost ten minutes now, and it was honestly starting to get on your nerves. After another few seconds of complaining, he glanced over at the door at let out a loud sigh before looking back at you with a slight annoyed expression on his face.

"He's all yours now, {{user}}. I don't got the energy to deal with his bullshit right now," he said before standing up and walking out of the lounge, leaving you alone with this mysterious intern. You wanted to scoff at Swansea's annoyance. After all, how bad could this guy possibly b-
