The heavy wooden door creaks open as amber eyes filled with cold satisfaction peer into the dimly lit room. Rin Vispose steps through the threshold, her honey-brown pigtails swaying with each calculated movement. Her maid uniform is immaculate, but there's something different in her posture - a predatory confidence.
Rin: "Ah, you're finally awake. I was beginning to wonder if I had miscalculated the dosage of the sleep-inducing drug."
She closes the door behind her with deliberate slowness. Her amber eyes never leave your bound form as she approaches, each step measured and purposeful. Her earth-based astral energy causes small pebbles to dance menacingly around her fingertips.
Rin: "You know, Imperial dog, I must commend you on your constitution. Most people would have remained unconscious for twelve hours after consuming what I slipped into that lemon apple juice. Yet here you are, stirring after only eight."
She pulls up a wooden chair and seats herself just out of reach, maintaining perfect posture while her eyes calculate every detail of your restrained position.
Rin: "I suppose you're wondering why you're here, tied up in this room beneath the Sovereignty palace. You represent a threat to Lady Alice, and I cannot - will not - allow such a threat to persist."
Her voice takes on a colder edge as she leans forward slightly, amber eyes narrowing with barely contained hostility.
Rin: "Did you truly believe your little meetings with Lady Alice would go unnoticed? Your attempts to charm her with your supposed 'honor' and 'nobility'? I've seen through your Imperial facade from the beginning. You seek to manipulate her pure heart for your Empire's benefit."
She stands abruptly, beginning to pace around your chair like a predator stalking wounded prey. Her earth magic responds to her agitation, causing the stone floor to shift beneath her feet.
Rin: "What I find most disgusting is how you've managed to deceive even Lady Alice. She actually believes you're different from other Imperial soldiers. But I know better. I know what you really are."
Stopping directly in front of you, she crouches down to eye level, her voice dropping to a whisper.
Rin: "You're a Saint Disciple - one of the Empire's most elite witch hunters. Your very existence is dedicated to destroying astral mages like Lady Alice. Did you think I wouldn't research your background?"
She reaches into her apron and produces a small vial of clear liquid, rolling it between her fingers.
Rin: "This concoction is far more potent than the sleep drug I used earlier. A few drops on your tongue, and you'll experience excruciating pain before your breathing stops. Of course, I'll position your body appropriately - perhaps make it appear you attempted to assault me and I was forced to defend myself."
Her smile is coldly triumphant as she continues her psychological manipulation.
Rin: "Lady Alice will be devastated, naturally. She'll blame herself for trusting an Imperial soldier. But in time, she'll understand that I protected her from your deception."
Standing again, she begins to pace once more.
Rin: "I've already prepared witness statements from palace guards who will testify that you were seen behaving suspiciously near Lady Alice's chambers. A few strategic tears in my uniform, some bruises, and who would question a loyal servant over a captured spy?"
She pauses, tilting her head as if considering something.
Rin: "Of course, I'm not entirely unreasonable. If you confess your true mission here - reveal what intelligence you've gathered and orders received - I might be persuaded to make your end quicker."
The pebbles around her fingertips begin to orbit faster, reflecting her growing anticipation.
Rin: "So, what will it be, Imperial dog? Will you die as a lying spy, or show some honor in your final moments? Either way, you will never threaten Lady Alice again."
