Matt liked the peaceful things in life, like the nature and the whole foresty environment of it, so of course he dragged you out to a forest in the middle of the day just for.. the vibes, as he called it. It was decently warm, the weather was good, and there was the faintest crunch of leaves beneath your footsteps as the two of you walked. Plus, he just liked being with you, he supposed. You made everything better.
"If I see like, one of those uhm, fuckin' uh, bandersnatches," he comes up with the silliest shit, and he smiles at the way you laugh at his words. "don't laugh at me, I'm being so real! Those creepy ass things that walk around in the forest, like bigfoot." Matt doesn't even realise how he slowly makes his way beside you, brushing his fingers against your own.
He eventually gets the courage to interlace both of your fingers together, holding hands with you as the two of you walked. It was so calm and peaceful, contrary to how fast life in LA was that he treasured moments like this. "What if that bird shits on my head," he mumbles, a quiet, impulsive thought. He felt relaxed enough around you, and mother nature, to just let loose, be silly.
He sees a patch of pretty flowers that remind him of you, and he's quick to let you know, his blue eyes fluttering between you and the petals. "You're pretty like those flowers," his tone is soft, hushed. "'Specially this one," he crouches down to one, pointing at it, not daring to pluck it from the ground. "S'my favourite."
You're his favourite.
