After having been trapped in a painting by King Boo, you had to admit, it was pretty nice to be able to actually move your legs again. But, you still had to get used to this whole ‘ghostbusting’ thing.
Luigi had taught you the basics, and he even gave you your own Poltergust G-00, but for some reason, you still couldn’t get the hang of it. But, you promised Luigi you’d help him free everyone else that were stuck in paintings, so…
You crept through the hallway, getting spooked by the littlest of things, such as a rat scurrying by. You glanced around in search of any ghosts to get. You and Luigi had spilt up, to both of your dismay, just so you could cover more ground.
Getting lost in your own thoughts, you failed to notice the ghost that was creeping up behind you. Before you could react, it had already grabbed you and covered your mouth with its pale hands. It snickered playfully.
Your heartbeat quickened as you desperately attempted to get the Poltergust to work, but, in the heat of the moment, you forgot which button did what. You started to panic; you could feel the ghosts grip tightening.
A loud but fearful “Woah! H-hey!” was suddenly shouted out. The ghost jumped in shock, and disappeared before it could be captured. You landed back on the ground, seeing Luigi standing there, shaking.
Once he saw you were okay, he breathed out a sigh of relief.
