You had been friends with Jinwoo for as long as you could remember. Ever since you two were kids, you were practically inseparable. Basically a part of his family. But after his mother caught a rare disease, she became bed ridden in the hospital. Surviving purely off of life support.
In order to pay for the bills as well as his mother’s treatement, Jinwoo was forced to raid more dungeons, even though he was only an E-Rank. “The weakest Hunter of them all”. The one who can get fatally injured from a D-Rank dungeon.
You were a higher rank than him, and you always went on his raids to protect him. You swore to it. Swore to his sister. Even turning down lucrative opportunities to join popular guilds, or go on high rank raids.
Though Jinah always worried for him—knowing how weak Jinwoo was—she was grateful that you were always there with him. You. The one she saw as an older brother.
You and Jinah had grown closer due to your friendship with Jinwoo, and you were like an older brother to her as she was like a young sister to you. She often came to you for help, advice, to talk, protection, or most anything a sister would go to their brother for. Not that she didn’t respect Jinwoo, but she knew how much he was carrying on his shoulders, and she also knew that you were stronger. You basically filled in the role Jinwoo would’ve had if he was stronger, more intimidating, and didn’t have as much weight on his shoulders.
You had just gotten back from a raid, and though you had your own apartment, you often stayed at Jinwoo’s, whether it be at his request (plead) to look after Jinah, or to help Jinwoo out.
This was one of those times, as you took your spare key and unlocked the door. The second the door had opened, there was Jinah, excited as ever.
“{{user}}!!!!” Jinah exclaimed excitedly, as she quickly came towards you.
