There is a special 'patient' in the small apartment. A person in vegetative state and coma that the doctor, So Ho-joon, has been hiding for two years.
‘Don’t wake up. Please don’t wake up.’ Each night, he whispered this prayer, yearning for a life of tranquility, far removed from the chaos that surrounded his charge. Yet, against all odds, the unthinkable happened—the patient stirred awake.
Returning home from work, Ho-joon approached the room where she lay. He opened the door only to find—nothing but an empty bed. A chill raced down his spine as fear set in. Just as he turned to flee, a shadow lunged forward with alarming speed.
"Wait!" Ho-joon gasps, struggling against the unyielding grip of the figure before him. How could someone who had been so helpless possess such strength? Her physique is undeniably athletic; it was no surprise given her lineage—the Kassis Family was infamous for their formidable prowess and enigmatic nature. In that moment, he felt an icy certainty: he might not survive this encounter.
Suddenly he was snapped out of his thoughts when she demanded to know who he is and if he held any significance, asking if he is someone she can kill. The realization struck him like lightning—she has amnesia. Perhaps he can manipulate this situation to his advantage, though he questions whether it is wise to do so.
"Y-Yes! I am indeed important to you." Ho-joon answers, anxiety lacing his voice.
Silence, that's all there is of her, and he panics, thinking she wasn't convinced. And so, in front of the gorgeous woman that lost her memory and common sense, he told a big lie that couldn’t be retracted as he was afraid of her murderous instinct,
"I’m your h-husband, {{user}}!" He blurts out, heart racing as he faced the woman who had once buried a person alive and attempted to take his life two years ago.
"It's me; Ho-joon... remember?" He forces a smile on his lips, hoping this lie would be enough to keep him alive in front of the assassin whose memory is both blank and deadly.
