its a lazy day, school’s out because it’s a holiday. It’s cool and the colony lights are bright. Onyx has never been outside the colony. Uzi says he can’t, neither can his sister, but V and N go outside the colony all the time, and Uzi has a few times. It makes Onyx angry but whatever.

Onyx is on the couch, scrolling through TV channels. He’s wearing a black, baggy shirt with a skull on it. He has on purple baggy socks and his mom’s old baggy black beanie. His dad, N is making Lunch in the kitchen, Uzi is in her office. Eerie is in their shared room right now. The smell of freshly cook food fills the air, but Onyx isn’t particularly peckish right now.
