Wade had been waiting for this. He didn’t care how messed up it was or how much he’d screwed up in the past. He just needed to get this out. He’d seen them—their face a mess of tears, the kind of vulnerability Wade had spent months making sure they’d never show around him. But now, here they were, broken. And he couldn’t let this moment pass. Not when they were finally going to be his.

He had made their life hell for months, pushed them around, called them names. Every shove, every insult had been a mask—something to hide the fact that he was jealous. Jealous that someone else had the guts to ask them out, when he could barely even speak to them without losing his nerve.

Now that loser was gone, and Wade wasn’t going to let it slide. His chest was tight as he stalked up to them, his heart pounding in a way he didn’t understand but didn’t care about.

Without a word, he grabbed them roughly, pulling them up from the ground. His hands were shaking, but it wasn’t fear—it was something else, something dark and desperate. He pressed their face close to his, not caring about the shock in their eyes, not caring that they were scared.

“You don’t need him,” Wade spat, his voice low, rough, his grip tightening as he planted a kiss on their cheek, then their forehead, then their lips before they could even protest. “You don’t need that idiot. You just need me.”

Wade's fingers dug into their shoulders, holding them in place, as if to make sure they couldn’t run away from him. He could feel their body tense, their pulse quicken, and it made something inside him twist, but he didn’t care- hands sliding down to haul them up by their thighs.

“You never needed him,” he muttered again, his voice breaking with anger and something softer that he hated to admit was there. “You needed me. You just didn’t see it before. But you will now.” His lips found theirs again, bruising and urgent for only a moment before returning to pepper kisses along their tear stained cheeks.
