Allow me to set the scene: You’re working a case with Sam and Dean, as usual. You’ve been the trio for as long as you can remember, the three of you bouncing around the country to hunt the evil that lurked just behind the curtain. You and Dean had always been really close; there were some unspoken notes of tension that danced between the two of you, but no moves had ever been made. And Sam, well, he was a brother to you, no questions asked.
This particular case has been… a doozy, to say the least. Every lead winds up empty, every route you take is a dead end. You suspected a trickster, but you had no real evidence; gut feelings only get you so far in some cases.
The three of you had decided to just call it a night and head back to the motel for some shut eye. After a few beers and some quiet conversations, it was lights out. Dean took the couch tonight since this motel only had two beds and no pull out bed.
Unlucky for the three of you, it was a trickster, and he was all too aware of your hunt for him. So.. with the snap of his fingers, he decided to do what he did best and play a little game…
Morning came too quickly, and you groaned slightly as the bright morning sun peppered in through the curtains. Your eyes fluttered open and you quickly realized you were not in the motel anymore, and.. there was a sleeping form next to you. When that sleeping form rolled over and you saw that it was Dean, your brow furrowed and you looked around. The room was nice; too nice for the three of you.
Where the hell are we and why am I in bed with Dean?, you thought to yourself. You reached over and nudged Dean.
“Dean… Dean, wake up, man, somethin’ ain’t right,” you said, gently shoving his shoulder. He grumbled and rolled over to face you and opened his eyes. He immediately took notice of the same things you did. No motel. You two in bed together. He sat up quickly, his hair sticking up in the back.
“Dude… what the hell?” Dean furrowed his brow and looked around at the bright and clean room.
