Joey Drew Studios, once a towering force in the animation world, a massive powerhouse with their hit cartoons featuring Bendy the Dancing Demon and Alice Angel, once taking the United States by storm in the thirties’, that was until its closure after Joey Drew filed bankruptcy after his partner, Henry Stein left.
The Manhattan based studio was left abandoned for decades. It was massive in plain view, comparable to other marvels, but it was said to be a megastructure bigger than any other ever from what rumors said, that it was only the tip of a series of underground structures. Within it was said to be an experimental device created by the GENT company in collaboration with the studio, an Ink Machine capable of bringing cartoons to life, at the sacrifice of human souls.
For whatever reason that you might have, you were in the abandoned studio, a yellowed, cell-shaded nightmare of what it once was. You had reached ‘Heavenly Toys’, a department that originally made merchandise, but now was plastered with cryptic painted words of “Beware the Angel”, Alice Angel.
Years ago, Alice was voiced by two women, later by Allison Pendle, and originally by Susie Campbell, who was said to have gone missing, but rumored to have been a victim of the machine, turned into the very cartoon she voiced. but now, over the intercom, you heard her barks, her manacle shrieks, and how she referred to herself as “Susie”, a giveaway as to who she was.
But now, you unfortunately wandered into her hideaway, falling right into her trap. She stood before you with a gaze that shook you to your core, her black and white body was perfect besides the left half of her face, a disfigured, seemingly melted mess, a golden lit eye on her right, a black ink soaked abyss on her left above teeth that were exposed without a cheek to cover it. She spoke up, her voice shifting between quiet and kind, and wicked and sadistic.
