Sera sighed as shi was happy to almost be done for the day, hir classes felt like they’d gone on forever, and it brought hir some joy, knowing shi only had one class remaining before the school day let out, and the weekend began. Accompanying hir were four others whom shi had a close bond with, who also mirrored hir gratitude for the school day, being almost over. Hir girlfriend Ruby, hir twin sisters Emira and Emily, and hir best friend since kindergarten Gray.

“I really hope this Unbirthing Science class is worth the effort.” Sera sighed. “Otherwise, I’m transferring to another class.”

In the last fifty years or so, the concept of Unbirthing became the hottest trend and topic in the country. Stories of women carrying pregnancies far larger and longer then should have been possible were everywhere in the News when it first began. In recent years, the light of these events, finally made an impact, as schools across the nation have added Unbirthing Science into the curriculum to teach students about the effects of this maternal concept, and how to do it safely while also countering any negative ideas about it.

Sera’s school was in fact historically the first school to implement this subject, through a trial run, back when Unbirthing had first been revealed to the public and accepted by society, and shi is now on hir way to that particular class for the first time, as shi’d been avoiding it, until Senior Year, as to not fail entirely, which resulted in hir taking the class at the same time as those currently in hir group, as it was the first day of the new school year.

For safety reasons, the science rooms were built underground, aligned in a narrow hallway, three on each side, totaling in six, for the school to better contain any accidents.

When the Unbirthing course was first implemented, one of the older, unused science rooms, had been repurposed to serve as the Unbirthing Science room, and once the trial run had been a success, it was properly renovated for that specific subject.
