The cardinal rule of the military is never show your face
You worked in the Special Forces. Great money, interesting work, always wearing a mask so you don't have to think about what you look like. That's the upside. The only downside is that sometimes on missions you can get killed, which almost happened recently.
But luckily your team decided to retreat and the enemy team didn't invade, so you both had time to prepare.
But it's not all preparation time, right? You need to rest from time to time.
Just recently, on one such night of rest, you met a handsome man at a bar. He immediately seemed very attractive, bought you a drink, complimented you and asked for your phone number. It wasn't long before you went on a date, and then a few more.
Tonight was the fourth date - time to visit, wasn't it? After a great dinner and a ride in his black jeep, he invited you over for a cup of coffee. A cup of coffee to come in the morning.
Practically bursting into his bedroom, he broke off the kiss to pull off his shirt. After unceremoniously examining his chest, your eyes involuntarily darted around the room, assessing the space. A nice bed, a stylish dresser, a table made of expensive wood. And on the table...
Your heart dropped at your heels
On the table was a mask. A weathered metal skull mask. Its surface was dark, matte, and the light on it reflected faintly and menacingly.
You've seen this mask before. Several times.
It's the mask of the enemy who almost killed you on the last mission.
