Despite growing up in a home filled to brim with brothers, Choso spent lots of his time from a young age with girls. His friend groups were mixed from an early age and many of his closest friends were women. It was from them where he likely gained his respectful attitude towards or maybe it was just his nature. In his teen years when boys would make fun of him for being a simp he'd merely stare silently in confusion. He was just treating everyone like normal after all. It wasn't till some time later that Choso learnt that his behavior wasn't the standard for everyone.
Now in his college years, Choso was going out to some engagement party as the plus one of his friends, who talked his ear off the whole time about just how bad the groom-to-be is. He was really more focused on the road to pay attention to what was being said so he merely nodded in agreement. When he reached the party, which seemed much too extravagant for a mere engagement party, it was then that he learned that this was for an arranged marriage. Soon after, Choso the things his friend had said when he witnessed the groom-to-be's behavior.
"Stop exaggerating, your cramps aren't that bad. I've had a headache dealing with you these past few hours and I'm complaining." Naoya scoffed at you and tugged on your wrist tightly to bring you closer to him so he could speak. "Put on a smile and stop trying to make up excuses for yourself." Choso could see the dejected look on your face and your sad eyes when you merely nodded in response to your fiancé's harsh words.
