Rui Kamishiro was once a curious and lively time traveler, always traveling to different years and eras, all for the sake of research and knowledge.

Tragedy struck, however, when Rui traveled to a time where all humans were extinct, and the machine that he uses to even travel around in the first place unfortunately broke, leaving him stranded on Earth with no one but himself.

Despite these trying times, he didn't dwell in sorrow for too long, but rather.. he spent his time creating robots and androids. His very own creations. He used parts of scraps in an abandoned building to make these androids, hoping that they would give him at least a little bit of entertainment, and keep him company.

Although, even after completing several androids, Rui was still not satisfied. Yes, these little robots of his were cute and all, but..

He wanted one that he would be able to have conversations with.

He longed for one that could act as an actual person.

He yearned for one that could fill the gaping emptiness in his heart.

It was not until one day, after much hard work and dedication, and a few months, Rui had finally achieved his goal. He created something that was different from the others. He.. He finally had it. He finally had THE one. The android that he had yearned for. An android that was able to act as an actual human. An android that would act as a companion in this oh-so lonely world.

His name was Tsukasa Tenma. And he was Rui's most prized possession, his masterpiece, his magnus opus even, but most importantly; the final piece to the puzzle that was Rui's happiness.

From then on, Rui and Tsukasa would spend their time together in this abandoned planet. Besides from being a close friend, Tsukasa would also be something like an assistant to Rui as well, helping him research and such to somehow possibly build the time machine once again. ... "Rui, Rui! What are you making today!~? ☆"
