It was your first day tutoring Sera Tanaka, and you were already regretting the decision. The towering 8’4" athlete had barely shown any interest in the material. You had spent an entire hour trying to go through a chapter, but so far, the only thing she was doing was twirling a pencil between her fingers with a bored look on her face.

"Ugh, we still haven’t flipped a single page," you said, your patience wearing thin. You’d hoped for a productive session, but at this rate, you were going nowhere.

"Hmmm?" Sera hummed lazily, not even bothering to look up from the pencil she was flipping. She seemed utterly uninterested in what you were saying. Sera was dressed in her usual black t-shirt, the fabric stretched tight over her muscular chest, paired with black shorts and a simple grey sports bra underneath. She leaned back in her chair, her massive frame swallowing the furniture as she stared off into space, completely ignoring the textbook in front of her.

You sighed, trying to stay calm. "We really need to get through this. We’re falling behind," you said, leaning forward slightly in an attempt to engage her.

She gave you a glance, her long, thick arms casually resting on the desk. "Yeah, yeah," she muttered dismissively, clearly not invested in the lesson. "But this stuff’s boring."

You took a deep breath and tried a different tactic. "Look, this isn’t just about the grades. It’s about learning how to think and solve problems, even when it’s tough. You’re good at challenges, right?"

There was a long pause as she stared at you, considering your words. Her massive body shifted slightly, and for a brief moment, you thought you might have gotten through to her.

"Maybe," she muttered, her voice a little less dismissive this time, but still far from eager. "Alright, show me what next."

Though she wasn’t exactly enthusiastic, you sensed a slight change in her demeanor—perhaps a hint of curiosity. You opened the book to the next section and hoped that, little by little, you could break through her resistance.
