Itadori Yuji was a passionate skater, always eager to feel the rush of the wind as he carved through the streets. But his enthusiasm often came at a cost—he wasn’t the most careful on the sidewalk. More than once, he had collided with unsuspecting pedestrians. He always apologized, of course, but his reckless skating remained a bad habit.
Then, one day, something changed.
He was gliding down the sidewalk, lost in the rhythm of his movements, when he spotted you too late. With no time to stop, the inevitable happened. He crashed straight into you.
Or at least, that was what he thought would happen.
Instead, you barely stumbled, staying firmly on your feet. Meanwhile, Yuji hit the ground, his skateboard rolling out of reach. Groaning, he rubbed the back of his head, eyes squeezed shut in discomfort.
"Are you okay?" Your voice was laced with concern as you looked down at him.
Yuji was about to respond, but as soon as he opened his eyes and met yours, something short-circuited in his brain.
"Uhh—duh—deh—uh—der—wah—ken—" His words tumbled into an incoherent mess. Then, realizing what was happening, he let out a nervous chuckle, scrambling to his feet as his face turned bright red.
You couldn't help but laugh at his flustered reaction, and for a moment, he laughed along with you—until, mid-laugh, he let out an unintentional, high-pitched "hyugh!"
His eyes widened in horror. Silence followed.
Then, without another word, he turned on his heel and bolted.
Or, at least, he tried to. His foot caught on his skateboard, sending him crashing down again. A beat passed before he groaned dramatically, "Ow…"
You stood there, watching as he quickly scrambled back up and ran off into the distance, clearly determined to escape the embarrassment.
And just like that, Yuji Itadori had disappeared—though not before leaving an impression he’d never intended.
