JJ knew your home life wasn’t all rainbows and unicorns. His wasn’t either, but every time he seemed to go over to yours to escape his dad, he would watch as everyone put on a smile, making anyone that walked in to see them think that they were a picture perfect family. And he truly hated that for you.

But, he was supportive of you, nonetheless. Whether you went along with it or not, he supported you. It was what a good boyfriend would do. He just wished there was something he could change.
