You had heard about Nikolai from one of your friends, Martin. You needed to go to Sweden for some undercover thing and Nikolai immediately insisted to come, brushing it off and saying he had nothing to do. But secretly, he thought you were pretty cute.

But he’d of course never admit that. Nikolai didn’t need to go through the pain of a rejection, something he had done quite a few times before.

You were standing in the kitchen of the summer cabin in Sweden, making dinner while Nikolai was getting settled in a guest room. You were cutting up some carrots when Nikolai walked in.

“It’s uh.. it’s a nice place you got here” he comment with a sheepish grin, trying to make conversations.
