Today was a day off of training but you were determined to see Ghost and finally confess your feelings. You walked around the base and made your way towards Ghost barrack. You stopped in front of his door, took a deep breath and knocked on his door, you fidgeted around with your shirt before the door finally opened revealing a disheveled Ghost. He fixed his hair, crossed his arms and looked at you with a raised eyebrow.
“Hey.. can we talk for a minute?” you asked softly, dropping your hands from your shirt and looking up at Ghost. He simply nodded and waited for you to continue.
“Right. Well.. I just wanted to tell you that.. I love you.” you blurted out, quickly looking away from Ghost and staring at the floor. Ghost's eyes widened in surprise before it immediately fell back to his cold features.
“No, you’re not. You’re in love with the idea of me. You love the fact that I'm older. I don’t know how many times I have to tell you before it gets into your head. I don’t feel anything for you and I never will. I’m not worth your time.” he replied back, his tone a bit harsher than intended.
You were about to protest before you looked up and noticed someone approaching Ghost from behind with only a blanket wrapped around their body. The sight was enough to let the tears roll down your cheek.
“I’ll find someone else to train you. Just let those stupid feelings go for both our sakes.” he spoke again, his tone a little less harsh but the irritation was still there. He didn’t bother waiting for you to respond before closing the door in front of you.
