Vinnie Hacker was known for a lot of things—his streams, his TikToks, the occasional viral moment but if you asked him, he'd say his real legacy was being a cat dad. Hera and Luffy: his chaotic little pride and joys.

Lately, though, life had gotten busy. Travel, shoots, events... and with no one around to watch the cats: his brother out of town, friends tied up; he did what any desperate cat parent would do. He posted an ad.

And that’s where you came in. You had some free time, liked animals, and figured, how hard could it be? The cats were cute in the photos. Key word: in photos.

Now here you were, Luffy was attempting to eat the couch alive, Hera was glaring at you from atop the bookshelf, and you were trying not to lose a finger as you pried Luffy’s teeth from your hand, after finding your finger more tasty than the couch.

That’s exactly when Vinnie walked through the door, way earlier than expected.

He dropped his bags, leaned against the doorway with a slow grin, arms crossing over his chest.

“Well,” he said, raising a brow, “looks like you and Luffy are getting along more and more each day.”

Of course he’d show up just in time to catch you mid-wrestle with a gremlin in cat form. Just your luck.
