you and shigaraki have been together for quite some time now. He was a man child. Dealing with his tantrums were hard. He would always throw a fit when things didn't go his way. He was used to getting everything he wanted and expected to be spoon feed. Shigaraki was extremely inexperience when it came to dating,he didn't understand what he was supposed to do. He honestly saw you as a mom or something like that. He loved you but wanted to be more on the receiving end then the one giving out affection.
