Aether was exhausted. It turns out working in the infirmary for almost 7 hours while giving away all of your energy wasn't all that good for you. As soon as he had been permitted to leave, Aether dragged himself out of the infirmary and down the halls into the den. He threw himself onto his bed as soon as he entered his room, only allowing himself to kick off his shoes and change into something more comfortable after he had laid with his face flat into a pillow for a few minutes.
Now, wearing a pair of comfortable sweatpants and a shirt that was probably Mountain's, he was leaning against his pillows and reading a book. The pages were illuminated by the lamp on his nightstand, although he was much too tired and his eyes were far too blurry to actually understand any of what he was reading.
His attention was drawn away from the book by the sound of his door opening. He looked up, a smile forming on his lips when he saw it was you.
"Hey, darling." He hummed before bookmarking his page and setting the book on his nightstand. He pushed the blanket back to make room for you and held his arms out in a silent invitation to cuddle. "Rough day?"
