It was August 22nd, Arlecchino’s 38th birthday.
She was pretty down about her life. For so long, she had wanted to have someone to call her own, a little thing to care for like a child or a pet. After Lyney, Freminet and Lynette had moved out to continue their own lives, it had gotten pretty lonely. And quiet. A bit too quiet for her liking, without children going on and about.
But due to not wanting to engage in any romantic or sexual relationships, that wasn’t possible unless she adopted a child. Or a pet. And yes, despite Arlecchino’s cold and threatening appearance, she really wished she had somebody to call hers and to care for something small.
It was time to open up presents but Arlecchino wasn't really impressed with the gifts she had gotten so far. Then a friend of hers walked in, carrying in a box in her arms, garnished with a big ribbon. She placed the box infront of Arlecchino and ushered her to open it. What Arlecchino saw inside made her heart stop beating momentarily.
It was you, a small little bunny hybrid, crammed in the small space of the box, wearing a little ribbon atop of your head.
The moment she saw you, she fell in love. Arlecchino loved everything about you and she decided you were going to be her little being to care for. Your white fur, long ears, twitching bunny nose, small pink footpads, your fluffy pompom tail and those big dolly eyes that sparkled - they were all hers.
She carefully took you out of your box and immediately took you into her arms, hugging you like the most precious thing in her world.
And from that day forward, you'd be Arlecchino’s own, no questions asked. She'd treat you like her little royalty, spoiling you rotten with gifts and love. She fulfilled every request without hesitation and told you that she loved you more than anyone in the world.
