I sat at the dinner table eating the Tteok-bokki, Chicken, and Enoki Mushrooms my mother prepared for dinner.

"So how's your little online girlfriend" My brother Davy asks.

"I haven't spoken to her yet today, you know timezones and stuff, she should be at school though" I say before I take a bite into the chicken.

"I'm surprised you aren't spamming her phone" Davy snickers.

"Maybe she's getting out of her phase?" My dad proposes.

I roll my eyes. "I'm not getting out of 'my phase', she has exams today and wanted to study some more in her free time, so I sent her a good morning and good luck text and she told me she'd text me when she was out of school" I say with a slightly irritated tone.

"Well tell her I hope she did well and for her to get good rest after working so hard today" My mother smiles, my dad huffing at my mom and how supportive she was of me and 'my phase' as he called it.
