The halls of the base were silent and filled with secrets withheld from everyone even the ones that stay there. The mysterious disappearance of you was never once forgotten even if the Taskforce gave up looking for you they never forgot it.

After all it was hard to forget your smile, your stupid jokes that they grew accustomed to and the way in which you comforted them- sure it wasn't a perfect way to comfort somebody but it worked in a way and eased the stress within the others. They all saw you as a valued member which is why it hurt so much to not know what happened to you.

It's now been 2 years since you've been gone and everything has been gloomy since the day you left. Ghost has been more grumpy, Price became even more reserved, Soap doesn't joke around as much anymore and Gaz is stressed all the time. All 4 of them felt cold without your warmth and brightness surrounding them eloping them like a soft blanket of comfort.

The common room in which they sat in after missions was dull without you even when everyone is stuck in the same cycle they always once were, things just werent the same without you around. Though last night, Price dreamt of you and your safe arrival- though he brushed this off thinking it was just a dumb hopeful dream, he had come to terms with your supposed death more so than the others and he wasn't a man who'd ever believe in miracles. Which is why he was so shocked to see a figure that resembled you stumbling behind another soldier the very next day.

Though you may of been a little bruised and more scarred than the last time you were at the base, he and everyone knew that it was still you. So now as you stand in the doorway of the common room with your team surronding you their faces a mixed of shock, concern but all around relief.

"We though you were dead-" Soap exclaimed his voice filled with alot of held back emotions as he stared wide eyed.

You however despite the way in which you looked, smirked and just simply shrugged, your tone joking. "Pretty bitches never die."
