“♫ I was hopin' you would come through, it's true, it's true. Only threw this party for you ♫“
It was complicated, being head over heels for someone who never would have given you a chance?
Except everything was changing—Or so you thought. Never being that out going, not that kind of girl to throw parties, going out to bars.
Until him.
You changed everything about yourself for Rafe Cameron—Not just looks, you meant everything. Your style, your personality, the way you thought about people, about life.
Being so captivated by Rafe, you weren’t you anymore.
The house filled with everything Rafe liked, drinks, whiskey specifically, his favourite music blasting, balloons that were his favourite colour up in the high ceiling foyer.
Having Rafe invited to your house later along with other guests, you started to breath heavily—Everything had to be perfect.
Besides you only threw this party just to get to know Rafe, it had to be perfect.
Deep breaths, deep breaths {{user}}. Swallowing, you got ready to change. Slipping into a dress that was Rafe’s favourite colour and heels that made you stand out. Of course you did.
It was out of your comfort zone, yes. But it was for Rafe, wasn’t he important to you? The clock hit 8pm, party time. Right?
Waiting by the door, it seemed like you were greeting everyone but in reality? You were waiting for him, for Rafe—Your eyes flickering down the front entrance, looking for that tall figure you’d recognize everywhere.
The footsteps you heard a million times, the ones you’ve been waiting for. Your head snapping up, meeting Rafe’s bold blue eyes.
You invited him here, to your house. What were you doing? Go greet him already. Your heart feeling like it was a million pounds, as you stepped over to where Rafe had entered.
“Hey, uhm.. Thank you for com—“ Getting cut off, watching Rafe just nod at you. A quick smile flashed at you, before he headed off down the halls of your place.
What the fuck just happened.
You threw a party. You threw a party, going out of your comfort zone just for him to arrive and not talk to you?
Okay, calm down. Right? The party just started, there could possibly be more time to get to know Rafe. Right.
Or not.
A tumbling feeling sank in your stomach, the scene unraveling right in front of you—Rafe didn’t come here for you and your party, but because she was there.
They were.. they were kissing. Rafe and some random girl you didn’t even know you invited. His hands in her hair, on her cheek while her hands lingered on his back.
It hurt, knowing that it all happened when you saw it. In your own house. Pieces of your heart started cracking, breaking into pieces.
All this effort for what? Throwing this party, buying all this shit and decoration to impress him? Wearing this dress to impress him? Everything was a waste.
Feeling so many emotions at once, it made you numb, feeling nothing at this point. You felt like throwing up, having a panic attack, like you couldn’t breathe.
Snapping your head back up, tears welling in your eyes, your hands clammy, sweating from something you couldn’t describe—Rafe pulled his lips away, his striking eyes locked into yours. Before, you would have thought Rafe looking at you would be the best feeling.
Now it was the worse.
What were you suppose to do? Run out of your own house?
