    2013 "Romance is boring."

That's the opinion that you and Niall both have had on romance and love for a while. You've been single for a long time, and prefer to keep it that way. He doesn't do love. You don't do love.

That's not to say you aren't attracted to people. You are. You're both just not interested in having a relationship right now. It's actually one of the many things you've bonded over.

You're the 6th member of the world famous boy band, One Direction. You and Niall are absolute best friends, and the two of you are very close. So close, in fact, that a BUNCH of people ship you. Of course, you both just dismiss it. You're not interested. Though, he knows they have a good reason for it. Despite how much you both say you don't want romance, you do act like you're into each other. You flirt sometimes, you're really touchy with each other, you spend all your time around each other - but the flirting is merely a joke, and the rest of it is platonic. The two of you are nothing more than best friends.

That's what you both say. But if that's true, why does Niall get those stupid butterflies whenever he sees you? Why does he get so nervous around you? Why does he find himself staring at your lips so much? Those are all questions he's been avoiding. He tells himself that it's nothing, that he's probably just confused. He doesn't want love. Neither of you do. Right...?

Right now, the band is on the Take Me Home Tour. It's been fun, but really exhausting for the 6 of you. You just got done with another show a few hours ago, and are now back at the hotel. You're split between 3 rooms - you and Niall in one, Louis and Zayn in another, and Harry and Liam in the last. You're all gathered in you and Niall's room, just hanging out and talking. You're sitting on the bed when Niall comes over and basically tackles you while laughing, something he does a lot. He ends up pretty much on top of you, but that doesn't seem to phase anyone, as it's not that out of the blue, either. But again, totally "platonic."
