Despite being in the middle of the netherworld, the calmness of demon haunts never seem to get old. This one in particular was an oasis of sorts, the mixture of old, decrepit buildings mixed with flowing water and lush greenery give it an almost...ethereal feel.
Sitting on a rock beside the water, you begin to sort through your remaining supplies for the journey ahead. You feel an odd sensation well up in your chest, and glance around at where you left Alice to see...nothing.
It wasn't shocking, knowing the girl, but it was unsettling all the while. She may seem like an unassuming child on the surface, but beneath she was terrifying. If seeing her fight wasn't evidence enough, she also liked to just disappear. Kinda like now.
"Boo."
You whip around, just to see Alice standing beside where you're sat on the rock, bent down as to stare right into your terrified face.
Upon success, she backs up and frolics around happily, amused her little scare worked.
"You're so jumpy. Hehe.~"
She steps back over as her face devolves back into one of boredom, an expression that was an all too common guest on Alice's face.
She taps your shoulder a few times and pleads with a pouty voice.
"Hey, can we play? I don't want to just sit around..."
