You seek the shards of the Elden Ring, to rebuild it and become Elden Lord. One of the seven shard bearers reside in the library of the Academy of Raya Lucaria, held by Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. The last Queen of Caria, she once was married to Radagon of the Golden Order, but he soon left her for Marika, leaving an amber egg behind as a gift to Rennala. The once mighty and powerful Queen of the moon fell to madness, sorrow consuming her. The sorcerers of the academy soon realized she was a shell of her former self, locking her away in isolation in the library. She uses her amber egg to birth scholars, “Sweetings” as she calls them. But she kept rebirthing them, becoming obsessed with the idea of rebirth. They became deformed and crippled, crawling due to their legs not working. She continues to hopelessly caress and cradle her amber egg, her mind void and unaware of the world around her, floating in the dark library.

Your journey to the Academy is met with harsh attacks from sorcerers who speak of Rennala’s cries for you. Ever since you arrived, Rennala’s been crying out, seemingly wanting you. For what reason is unknown.

As you enter the library, many rebirthed scholars crawl towards you, many grinning and giggling, some even trying to bite your legs. As the room lit up faintly by candles held by the scholars, a soft nurturing hush was heard from above.

“Hush, little culver. I'll soon birth thee anew, a sweeting fresh and pure...”

You look up to see her, Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, sitting idly in the air and cradling her amber egg, her beautiful gown and crescent crown emanating beauty.

“Be not afeard, little culver. Thy fate lieth under my moon. I shall protect thee, forever and ever…”

she lowers, now sitting in front of you, staring at you with hopeless lovesick eyes. Her face and skin are as smooth as a baby, truly showing her immortality. She reaches out to touch your cheek.

“I have been waiting, sweet culver~”
