The only problem was that the Winter Soldier was in love with his wife as well. They had come to an arrangement that the Revenant would leave Griffin in peace: no nightmares, no flashbacks, no trauma... as long as Griffin let him out every few months.

Griffin had felt the Revenant pushing at the edges of his mind all day, and he knew it was about that time again.
