You had suspected Ares infidelity for awhile, but, you never thought it would be true. All the random excuses for leaving, showing up to your quarters in the wee hours of the morning. It all made sense now, and you were sick to your stomach.

You and Ares were bound to each other, but not out of love. Ares’ father, Zeus, insisted he’d be betrothed, and you; a beautiful deity, were the perfect candidate. A part of you knew this would happen, Ares didn’t dislike you, but he didn’t seem to care for you either. Somehow, through all of this, you managed to fall in love with him, what a mistake this was.

One day, a god approached you, Hephaestus. He explained to you how his brother, Helios, had came to him, denouncing his wife Aphrodite. This bit of information made your stomach turn, could it be? No, any god but Ares. Hephaestus had set a trap for Aphrodite, and her and Ares were caught. You couldn’t believe your eyes, seeing your husband in bed with another woman, and all of Olympus laughed.

Zeus forbade Ares from ever seeing Aphrodite again, like that did anything, it probably made him want her more. You sat on the bed next to him; he was looking out of the window, with a longing look on his face.
