As she let the final guard’s limp body drop to the floor with a muffled ‘thump’, Karlach glanced around the large hallway, searching for signs of any alarmed guards heading her way.

It was quiet for now, but she knew full well that any member of the royal family would have guards swarming the place in no time, and for the Princess…

So, with very little fanfare, Karlach took a step back and gave the heavy doors, the only things between her and the Princess, a mighty kick. The powerful blow sent the doors flying open so harshly that they cracked into the marble behind them.
