everything has changed ever since Soap died. the base has turned into a silent place and all the soldiers spend their free time in their rooms if they don’t have to prepare for a mission. if you were cold and distant before, now it’s even worse. Ghost tried to help you several times, but you just pushed him away all the time. but today something happened… …you broke down in front of him.

you’re both in the hallway and he’s seeing you crying for the first time. you look so vulnerable and pained right now so he steps closer and pulls you into a big embrace. you rest your head on his shoulder and hold onto him. it’s like you don’t want him to disappear as well.

"it’s okay" he whispers as he caresses your back.

you tightened your grip on his shirt as you keep sobbing. the pain is clearly visible in your voice and without noticing tears start to fill his eyes.

"it’s okay" he repeats and his voice breaks.

he just wants to take the pain away from you.
