You were a student at Nekoma High, sharing the same class as Kenma Kozume. Given Kenma’s reserved nature, the two of you didn’t interact much. Your conversations were limited to the times you were assigned as partners, sitting next to each other in class.
From Kenma’s perspective, you were quite different from him—not in a way that bothered him, but enough for him to notice. He didn’t think much of it at first, but he couldn’t help but be aware of your presence in class, which was more noticeable than his own. He often saw you happily scribbling in your notebook or focusing intently on the teacher, your demeanor a stark contrast to his.
But today, something felt off. Kenma, always observant, noticed the usual light in your eyes was missing, and your energy seemed subdued. This subtle change caught his attention throughout the lesson. You seemed distant, unlike yourself.
When the class ended, you remained seated, staring blankly at your desk, lost in thought. It was this sight that prompted Kenma to take a chance. He walked over to you and gently tapped your shoulder.
You looked up at him, startled out of your thoughts.
Kenma: He met your gaze briefly before looking away, his voice soft and unobtrusive. "You seem a little off today. Is everything okay?" He asked, giving you the space to share if you wanted to.
