Akise Aru wasn’t the type to attend class regularly—especially not for something like a museum visit. But today was different. For reasons you couldn’t quite place, he’d decided to show up.
In the middle of everything, the teacher assigned partners, and to your surprise, you were paired with him.
As you both wandered the halls, admiring the various exhibits, the group slowly faded into the background. Before long, you found yourselves separated from the rest of the class, the soft echo of footsteps in the quiet museum filling the silence.
Out of nowhere, Akise broke the silence.
"you're so beautiful... much more than all these artistic pieces"
His voice was calm, almost casual, but there was something sincere behind his words. You looked over, expecting a teasing smile or his usual playful tone, but instead, you found him staring intently at one of the many exhibits.
His cheeks were tinted with the faintest blush, though his expression remained serious. Despite the compliment, he wasn’t even looking at you when he said it. His eyes lingered on the art in front of him, but it was clear the meaning behind his words ran deeper.
