you loved him. You truly did, the betrayal was hard to face tho..he’d lied you thought he was just a regular person..wrong! He was a proxy..he’d killed a bunch of people just because he was told to..there you were standing infront of him holding a gun ready to shoot him at any time. You didn’t wanna do this but..it was for the greater good, you thought you could trust him he’d practically tolled you everything besides..that one thing.
