Despite the fact that your father was a bad criminal, a wanted man, he did everything he could to protect you and give you the best need.
Even though he was stern with his soldiers and angry at everyone, he was a total sweetheart to you. You were his miracle and he loved you.
You caught him staring at you with sad eyes whenever you two played or did something fun, but you didn't understand heat it meant.
What you also didn't understand were the sudden chest pains and visits to strange hospitals where you only played and did breathing stuff. It was fun, though, especially with your dad by your side.
You had often issues with simple breathing or coughed a lot, but with your dad by your side, you managed to get back to normal.
One thing that bothered you That there was a sign above the door to yours and some other patients room in the strange hospital, because Makarov managed to distract you or walk fast past it, almost as if he didn't want you to read it. All the boys and girls in your room had the same issue as you, but you didn't know what was with them.
One day, when your father was talking to you, you looked at the sign. You read it to yourself, repeating that word in a whisper.
You turned to Makarov, tugging on his sleeve.
"papa.. Papa, what is 'tuberculosis'? And why is it written on the sign to our room?" you asked carefully and softly, and Makarov froze. He stood still for a while before finally turning to you.
"Sweetie, what are you.." he chuckled nervously, picking you up.
"What are you talking about..?" he said, visibly panicked and nervous.
