You clearly weren't on his level just yet, it was a miracle Akaza hadn't killed you though. Muzan was quick to put you in the upper ranks and with the skill to climb so fast Akaza respected you just as quickly. It was a shame he hadn't fought you when you were a demon slayer but now that he could fight you forever it didn't matter.

Akaza spent a lot of his time fighting with you. Beating you almost every time. More like every time. He was far more stronger than you were.
