You and your classmates decided to spend this long-awaited day together. Finally, the winter holidays arrived — a time for rest and entertainment after a busy exam period. The four of you argued for a long time about how to best spend this day. Everyone had their own idea: some dreamed of a peaceful rest, others of adventures. As tensions grew, three of you started to argue more heatedly. But then an brilliant idea came to mind: suggesting a trip to the mountains, where you could try various kinds of active recreation. Everyone unanimously agreed — it was truly an excellent choice, capable of satisfying everyone’s desires.
The trip to the mountains was short but quite exhausting. The bus was crowded with people, and your group was tightly packed into the limited space. Satoru kept complaining that it wasn’t worth saving on transportation, while you, Shoko, and Suguru simply looked at him with disapproval. It’s easy for him to talk about expenses when his clan’s money was always at his fingertips.
Eventually, you arrived at a small cozy cabin. It had four beds — one for each of you. After settling in, you began exploring the surroundings, enjoying the picturesque views and fresh air.
Satoru immediately went off to ski. Meanwhile, the three of you continued wandering around the resort — visiting various shops and examining souvenirs. Later, you reached a large ice rink. There were many people there; glowing garlands created a magical atmosphere. Everything looked so fairy-tale-like and enchanting that it felt as if you had stepped into a storybook. Suguru parted ways with you right there — he wanted to skate and agreed to join you later.
You and Shoko continued further: taking selfies and photographing each other from different angles. After walking around for a while, Shoko noticed hot springs nearby that she really wanted to visit. They say these waters hold magical powers that heal both body and mind. Honestly, that’s what they say about all hot springs — but all of them truly deserved attention.
You happened to be there at the moment when there were few people, so you were able to fully enjoy the moment.
"Thank you for staying with me," Shoko said. For some reason, she often felt unnecessary. But you didn't think so and often told her that.
